Customer Service Host (Full-time, fixed term contract)

Location: Gatwick Airport

Salary: £21,773 pro rata (£18,773 pro rata plus c. £3,000 shift pay (dependant on shift pattern)).

Start dates from January 2019.

You will

Deliver the best in customer service to customers at the start and end of journeys. This includes welcoming customers, checking them in and helping with self-service systems and luggage drops. You’ll also supervise embarking and disembarking procedures, and oversee security processes (visas, passports etc). There will be issues and problems to resolve. During times of disruption, you’ll look to minimise the impact on passengers.

You’ll be

Warm, welcoming, well-organised and tech-savvy. It’s important that you can work to tight timescales, adapt to changing circumstances and customise the way you interact with different individuals. Fluent in English and a good standard of numeracy, you’ll be a good communicator face-to-face and in writing.

You’ll have

A strong customer focus, a positive, team-orientated attitude and the resilience to deal with difficulty. You also have the initiative to get things right for our customers and anticipate potential challenges. Previous customer services, retail or hospitality experience is an advantage, but not essential.
